Ledrai Dewan Class XII School is located in Machmara, Pecharthal RD Block under Kumarghat Sub-division of Unakoti District with an area of almost 4.80 acre. The founder of the School was a famous person named Ledrai Dewan. The School was named after him as “Ledrai Dewan Primary School”. It was established in the year 1937 as a primary school and was upgraded to Senior Basic School in the year 1950.
Consequently the school was upgraded to Secondary and Higher Secondary (H.S) in the year 1977 and 1990 respectively. The school is under the control of Department School Education, Government of Tripura and affiliated to Tripura Board of Secondary Education. The School is one of the oldest schools in Deo- valley region.
